The standard that matters most in IT. It governs who can reach your data, how it is stored, how it is backed up, and what happens when something goes wrong.
What it covers, concretely
- Controlled access to client data: each person holds exactly the rights they need, and access is reviewed periodically.
- Backups taken automatically, kept separately and verified by actually restoring them — not merely scheduled.
- Written incident procedures: who gets told, how quickly, and what happens in the first hours.
- Security risk assessment at fixed intervals, not only after an incident.
- Rules for development and test environments, so real data does not end up where it should not.
In IT projects
When we build an application for you, we work with your real data: customers, orders, sometimes personal data. When we run your infrastructure, we have access to everything. ISO 27001 is the system that states exactly what we may do with that access, and it obliges us to demonstrate annually, to an auditor, that the rules are actually followed. For a project that falls under GDPR, it is the difference between “we promise to be careful” and a process verified from outside.

The processes a project goes through — from the first conversation to going live — are documented and audited. They do not depend on who happens to be free.
What it covers, concretely
- Defined stages for every project: analysis, proposal, development, testing, launch, maintenance.
- Checks at every stage, with written criteria for what “done” means.
- Handling of non-conformities: what happens when something goes wrong, who decides, and how recurrence is prevented.
- Traceability: what was delivered, when, and against which requirement can be reconstructed.
- Deadlines tracked and reported, not estimated from memory.
In IT projects
In software, the most common problem is not the code — it is the absence of a process: unclear requirements, testing done in a hurry, releases with no verification. ISO 9001 does not guarantee a project comes out perfect, but it guarantees there is a documented process it goes through — and that when something does go wrong, there is a procedure for correcting it and stopping it happening again.
Environmental management system
Impact is measured, not assumed
Consumption, waste and environmental impact are assessed regularly and reduced systematically — including the IT equipment side, which is the most often overlooked.
What it covers, concretely
- Environmental impact assessed across all activities, including manufacturing and on-site installation.
- Proper handling of electronic waste: decommissioned equipment does not go in the bin.
- Preference for low-consumption solutions — solar power, LED lighting, energy-efficient hardware.
- Continuous compliance with environmental legislation, tracked and kept current.
- Reduction targets set annually and verified at audit.
In IT projects
The environmental side looks far from IT until you look at what it actually consumes: servers running at a few percent load, equipment replaced earlier than it needed to be, decommissioned electronics ending up where they should not. When we design infrastructure, sizing it correctly and extending equipment life are environmental decisions as much as technical ones. And in smart city projects — solar lighting, bins that shorten collection routes — the effect is directly measurable.
